Glenna Toomey expressed a fascination with music at an early age and began formal study at age eight. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Puget Sound with Dr. Tanya Stambuk, where she participated in numerous solo and collaborative performances. Aspiring to further improve her pianistic abilities, Glenna received her Master's in Piano Performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University under the guidance of Evelyne Brancart. During her graduate career, Glenna studied various pedagogical techniques and taught numerous students for the Young Pianists program at IU.
